Board of Zoning AppealsThe Hanover County Board of Zoning Appeals consists of seven citizens who are appointed by the Judge of the Circuit Court of Hanover County. The Board hears and decides requests for variances from specific requirements of the County's Zoning Ordinance. The Board also hears and decides appeals of decisions made by the Zoning Administrator in enforcing the provisions of the Zoning Ordinance. The Board of Zoning Appeals generally meets on the second Tuesday of the month in the Board Room of the County Administration Building. Meetings begin at 7:30 p.m. Mr. William R. Johnson is the Zoning Administrator.
