County taxes due Wednesday, Dec. 5 PDF Print E-mail

Hanover County second half 2007 real estate and 2007 personal property taxes are due on Wednesday, Dec. 5.  You may pay your taxes in person at the Treasurer’s Office, which is located in the Wickham Building at the Hanover Courthouse government complex. The phone number is 365-6050.

The Treasurer’s Office is open from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.  Checks and Money Orders (NO CASH) can be dropped in the Treasurer’s 24-hour curbside drop box. Look for the white box located in the parking lot between the Wickham Building and the Wickham Building Annex at the Hanover County Government Complex. Payments must be deposited prior to 7:30 a.m. on the due date to be considered on-time.

To mail your tax payment, send it to the following address:
Treasurer’s Office
P.O. Box 200
Hanover VA 23069

Make checks or money orders payable to “Hanover County”. US postmarks must be dated on or before the due date. You should witness the postmarking of payments mailed on or close to the due date.
