Hanover Democratic Committee of Virginia

Pattie Bland, chair of the Coalition for Hanover's Future, will be the guest speaker at the Hanover Democratic Committee monthly meeting on Saturday, May 3, 2008.

Pattie Bland believes that growth can be managed in a fair and sensible way. Bland was a candidate for Board of Supervisor for the South Anna district and pledged to partner with citizens to defend Hanover’s quality of life from irresponsible development ushered in by the recently approved Comprehensive Plan Update.

As a founding member of the Coalition for Hanover’s Future, Bland worked tirelessly to have smarter land use planning tools included in the recent Comprehensive Plan Update. Bland is a graduate of Hanover County’s Citizens Planning Academy, the Citizens Police Academy, and currently represents South Anna on the Rural Legacy Committee.
